Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 22, 2026

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the ComiCollector application and related services (the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Use of the Services

The Services are provided to help users catalogue, organize, value, and manage comic books and related collectibles.

ComiCollector may be used by collectors, dealers, retailers, auction participants, consignors, and other users in connection with the lawful purchase, sale, valuation, insurance, inventory management, and collection of comic books and related collectibles.

You agree to use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your locally stored collection data.

2. Collection Information

Information relating to your comic book collection is stored primarily on your device. ComiCollector is designed to operate using a local-first approach and does not guarantee the recoverability of locally stored data once deleted.

3. Privacy Policy

Your use of the Services is also governed by the ComiCollector Privacy Policy, which describes how information is collected, used, protected, retained, and deleted.

ComiCollector operates on a minimal data model. Personal information is limited to device-based identifiers, optional contact information, such as an email address when submitting a support request, and limited operational metadata required for subscription validation and system functionality.

Images, collection databases, and core collection information remain stored locally on your device and are not centrally retained.

ComiCollector does not sell personal information and does not engage in cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

ComiCollector is designed to minimize the collection and retention of personal information.

Collection information is stored locally on your device and may be deleted at any time using the functionality provided within the Services.

Limited server-side operational information, such as subscription status, quota usage, and anonymized identifiers, is retained only for as long as necessary to operate the Services and is deleted upon request or when no longer required.

Users may request deletion of any personal information retained by ComiCollector through the data deletion request form available at Comi-Collector.com.

ComiCollector does not maintain centralized repositories of personal collection data and cannot recover locally stored data once it has been deleted.

5. Valuations and ComiCollector Intelligence

Market assessments, valuations, market insight notes, pricing intelligence, rarity analyses, key issue classifications, historical trend analyses, confidence scores, and other analytical outputs generated through the Services are collectively referred to as “ComiCollector Intelligence.”

ComiCollector Intelligence is automated and provided for informational purposes only.

ComiCollector Intelligence does not constitute financial, insurance, investment, appraisal, legal, or professional advice and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for purchasing, selling, insuring, or valuing collectibles.

6. Subscription and Billing

Access to the Services requires an active subscription. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for the duration of your active subscription.

Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with the policies of the platform through which the subscription was purchased.

Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or the policies of the applicable app marketplace.

7. Ownership of ComiCollector Intelligence

ComiCollector Intelligence is created using ComiCollector's proprietary databases, historical market information, methodologies, analytical processes, and automated systems.

All ComiCollector Intelligence, together with the underlying methodologies, market intelligence, classifications, databases, analytical processes, and other proprietary information used to produce it, remains the sole and exclusive property of ComiCollector.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use ComiCollector Intelligence in connection with your own lawful comic collecting, purchasing, valuation, inventory management, insurance, and sales activities. No ownership rights in ComiCollector Intelligence are transferred to you.

By requesting or accessing ComiCollector Intelligence through the Services, you acknowledge and agree that ComiCollector may retain, reproduce, cache, aggregate, analyze, validate, improve, and otherwise use ComiCollector Intelligence and the underlying analytical information for the purpose of operating, improving, validating, enhancing, and commercializing the Services and any future products or services offered by ComiCollector.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Nothing in these Terms prohibits you from relying on ComiCollector Intelligence when making your own purchasing, collecting, inventory, valuation, insurance, or sales decisions.

9. Third-Party Intellectual Property

The Services may display comic book covers, trademarks, logos, publisher names, character names, and other intellectual property owned by third parties.

All such intellectual property remains the property of its respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in third-party intellectual property.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

ComiCollector does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that any ComiCollector Intelligence will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

ComiCollector may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date or Last Updated date.

Continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.

If you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction that provides mandatory consumer protections, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory protections available to you under applicable law.

Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
